Our story
Built by someone who kept packing two bags.
A gym bag that looked wrong in a meeting. A weekender that had nowhere to put wet kit. OTTAVA began as the bag that refused to exist — one object for training, travel and recovery, quiet enough to carry anywhere.
The problem
The category was loud, or it was useless.
Performance bags shout: patches, straps, logos across the panel, built for a locker room and nowhere else. Design bags stay beautiful and then fail the moment something inside is wet.
The hybrid life needs both. Train before the first meeting, fly before the weekend, recover like it matters — and carry one thing that handles all of it without announcing anything.
Behind the design
Thirteen rounds before we stopped.
The duffel went through thirteen documented design rounds. Cordura first, then coated shells. Long bodies and short. External pockets, then none at all. Handle anchors that were rejected, three different end panels, two branding passes.
What survived is deliberately plain outside: one clean shell, no straps to catch, nothing to explain. Every decision moved inward — a sealed shoe compartment with its own door, a welded wet pouch, a padded laptop sleeve, a full-width trolley sleeve, and a deep petrol lining so you can find a black cable in a dark room.
Materials and making
Specified, not decorated.
A matte polyurethane shell over a ballistic-weave base. YKK zips throughout, AquaGuard on the main opening. Bartack reinforcement at every load point. Blind-debossed marks instead of printed logos, because print wears off and a deboss does not.
OTTAVA is a European-founded house and manufactures with specialist partners in Asia — the same route taken by most technical brands worth owning. We will always tell you where a thing is made, and we will never print a country of origin we did not earn.
The guarantee
Five years. Repair before replacement.
Every duffel carries a five-year guarantee, registered to you. If something fails, we repair it first — replacement only where repair is not possible.
Runs are small and numbered on purpose. We would rather make fewer, allocate them properly, and stand behind each one, than discount a warehouse.

A secure payment link for half the price holds your unit. The balance is due only when it ships.
Deposits are fully refundable until your unit is dispatched. If we cannot allocate you a unit, you are refunded automatically.
